The Stone Circle Is Now Available!
16-year-old Aisling Johnson never felt any ties to her dilapidated familial home in a small town in Ireland. But now that her mother has dragged her halfway across the world to bring in the teen audience for her new home renovation show, Aisling has no other choice. She’ll have to find her way around a new school, struggle to make new friends, and she’ll have to do it all while being filmed.
And when the story about the family’s broken promise to the faerie king turns out to be true, Aisling finds herself the target of the faerie’s attention — and his thirst for revenge. |

Wild Tides, White Stone Book 3, releases 12/9/22
She can't escape her fate forever.
For weeks, Kalima has been running. She ran from the white stone palace and the high priest's knife. She ran from her family and her home. She ran from the Hyte and the growing attraction she can't deny to Serq. But running hasn't helped. The high priest has people hunting for her, and the people she's hurt haunt her. It is time for Kalima to stop running and face her fate ... but she won't be facing it alone. |

Wide Horizons, White Stone Book 2, is releasing this week
She may have escaped, but she isn't yet free.
It's been nearly a week since Anami Kalima escaped her own ritual murder, but now, wounded and captured by a band of desert nomads, she's not sure her situation has much improved. But the Hyte are more than they first seemed, especially their healer, who discovers that Kalima has a useful affinity for magic, and the band leader's sister, who is awakening in Kalima feelings she's never felt before. The world beyond the river is far more wonderful and dangerous than she'd ever imagined -- and she doesn't know if she has the courage to face it. |

NaNoWriMo!
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a Wrimo down to my soul. I love National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and 2022 will be my 9th consecutive year participating. All three White Stone books were first drafted during NaNo, and I love the energy and atmosphere of people coming together, cheering each other on, hosting writing sprints, and making other writer friends as always happens during the event.
This year, in addition to my official NaNo participation, a writer friend of mine is hosting a small group challenge on Pacemaker, and since that site has a widget, I thought it would be fun to stick it here. (Check out PlotHacker for some reasonably priced and/or free story structure courses, a short weekly newsletter, occasional writerly challenges like this Pacemaker one, and general storyteller vibes. Ben is a fantastic writer with some unique insights into the writing process, not to mention a thoughtful and interesting guy, and I'm not just saying that because he's a friend, although he is that, too. Tell him I sent you, and remind him to get back to his own writing!)

White Stone is now available!
Ten are chosen. One will die.
When Kalima is selected by the priest to be considered for the glorious day of atonement, she's sure there must be some mistake. She is the bastard daughter of a man she's never known -- surely not the kind of person the great god Eris would consider to be the sacrifice. But the priest's word is law, so Kalima joins the nine others who have been selected in the white stone palace to await further instructions from their priest and their god. But while in the palace, Kalima begins to suspect that the priest is hiding something, a truth that will make her question everything she's ever known about her faith, her god ... and ultimately what she knows about herself. |
